Oh, and a new doughnut shop just opened — eek! 🍩 More deets on all the can’t-miss events below.

Vegan Pop-Up Dinner
📍Casa Tão Longe, Tão Perto | R. do Gen. Torres 367, 4430-108 Vila Nova de Gaia
📆 November 14, 15, 20, 21, 22 | 17:00 – 22:00

A. Castanheira Cozinha is bringing their vegan pop-up kitchen to Casa Tão Longe-Tão Perto, the cosy wine bar that keeps things casual and pours wine straight from the tap. Local Art Market
📍 SVET Space | Praça do Exército Libertador 6
📆 November 15 | 14:00 – 17:00
Step into a cosy, creative space where local makers and artists come together for an afternoon of handmade treasures, good food, and coffee. Meet the creators, browse their work, or just wander and soak up the artsy energy.
And with Christmas just around the corner, it’s the perfect excuse to check out a local art market — you might just find a one-of-a-kind gift (or a little something for yourself).
Porto Vinyl Market
📍Rua de Passos Manuel 178 4º Piso
📆 November 1 | 14:00 – 19:00
For anyone who still swears by the sound of vinyl, the Porto Vinyl Market is where the magic happens. A proper digger’s paradise, it’s packed with crates of classics, deep cuts, and unexpected gems. This is that kind of event where you go looking for one record and leave with five.
Book Launch: " Workday" and "Ants Waking"
📍Rosebud Bookshop | R. de Cedofeita 643
📆 November 21 | 19:00
Rosebud Bookshop is hosting a night for book lovers and literary eccentrics alike, celebrating the launch of Workday by David Moscovich and Ants Waking by R.J. Huneke.
In Workday, Moscovich transforms old-school verbal CAPTCHAs (yes, those distorted words you used to type online) into poetry — the weird poetry of the internet age, stretched across the rhythm of a nine-to-five.
Huneke’s Ants Waking dives deep into magical realism, following an autistic college freshman in a mythical Cambridge as they race meddlesome gods and dark storms to save a friend’s life.
Market Place Casual Style, Marquês
📍Jardim do Marquês
📆 November 8 and 22 | 12:00- 17:30
One of my favourite flea markets in Porto, O Marketplace – Casual Style is conveniently set in Jardim do Marquês (right above the metro station). It’s a super cool spot packed with antiques, secondhand finds, music, and even fresh produce. Expect plenty of cheap treasures — you’re bound to leave with either a charming vintage piece or a thrifted outfit that feels like a steal. The market pops up every first and third Saturday of the month (weather permitting, of course).
Accessories & Coffee
📍The Social Hub Porto | Praça Dom João I80
📆 November 8 | 11:00 – 13:30
If you’re looking for a cosy, crafty afternoon in Porto, the the Accessories and Coffee event hosted by the Social Hub will be right up your alley. Sit down with a warm coffee and get hands-on making your own accessories from gems, chains, and all sorts of shiny bits. You’re guaranteed to leave with something unique!
English Stand Up Comedy Open Mic
📍Maria Pistolas | 175 Praça de Dona Filipa de Lencastre
📆 November 20 | 21:00
Fancy a proper laugh? Head to Maria Pistolas for an evening of English stand-up comedy, where local comedians try out their material in front of a live crowd. The vibe is relaxed, the jokes are fresh, and the atmosphere is full of good humour.
Whether you’re keen to test your own comedic chops or just want to sit back and enjoy the show, it’s the perfect way to spend an evening with friends and if you dare to get on stage, there’s even a free drink waiting for you.
In Case You Missed It:
One Star Donuts 🍩
Porto just got its FIRST EVER doughnut shop, and it’s already causing a sweet stir. One Star Donuts by Caszmera is all about unique, inventive flavours that you won’t find anywhere else. Some of most popular flavours include Miso Caramel, Coffee Cardamom, and the irresistible Banoffee. Her shop officially opened on 31 October, so be sure to pop by and treat yourself to one of her mouthwatering creations.
